Sound in Science

Several weeks ago we finished a science unit on sound.  We learned about pitch and how to change the pitch of different objects.  We created 'reed' (straw) instruments and explored pitch.  This was a fun noisy unit! I have a great video of our instrument lesson but am having difficulty getting it to load to the blog:( 

JA in a Day

Our JA in a Day was a fantastic learning experience. I would like to thank Derek Scott for volunteering his time and spending the day with us.  The kids really enjoyed working with him all day.  They learned about communities through a variety of activities. Below are some pictures.
