Our Continent Posters

After a lot of research our continent posters are finished and displayed!  Each group wrote note cards with interesting facts and colored a map of their continent.  The groups presented their posters by sharing the information they learned with the rest of the class.  We have some artists and public speakers!

Your Second Graders are learning about the 7 continents.  They have been divided up into seven groups.  Earlier this week each group read books and took notes to learn about their continent. Today the groups created note cards with interesting facts.  Below are the groups working hard.  Stay tuned for our finished products!

Learning About Landforms

In Social Studies we have been learning about maps, continents, oceans and landforms.  The students created a continent from clay displaying several different landforms.  After the clay dried they painted their masterpieces and we ended with a museum walk.
